Today we are sharing 2 recipes from our Immune-boosting recipe book (link below) help warm your belly and keep you cosy.

The recipes are loaded with nutrition and immune-boosting ingredients to keep you healthy and vital throughout winter...

They are free from gluten and all nasties and if you add our recommended 'boosters' you'll be taking things to the next level as far as skin, anti-aging, gut-healing benefits go!

In the Book, we give you loads of valuable info. when it comes to immunity and there are lots of bonuses in there too.

So without further ado, here are 2 of my favourite recipes from the book. Enjoy 😘

 

Pumpkin, Parsley & Pepita Soup

Perfect Supplements Australia

Serves 4-6

Ingredients:

  • 5-6 cups of filtered water
  • 1 Butternut pumpkin (squash)
  • 1 brown onion diced
  • 1 stick of celery
  • A small bunch of flat parsley
  • A handful of pepitas
  • 1 tbsp of Tahini
  • 1 tsp of sea salt
  • Coconut yoghurt tp serve
  • MCT, Coconut oil or Ghee 1 tbsp

 

Recommended gut-healing + immune-boosters:

 

Method:

  1. In a large pot on medium-high, add a little fat and sauté the onion and celery until soft
  2. Add the peeled and diced pumpkin, water and salt and simmer on low for 30 minutes until the pumpkin is nice and soft
  3. Take off the heat ad add in the tahini, parsley and pepitas then using your hand blender whizz up until smooth and creamy
  4. Add any chosen boosters and whizz up again until desired consistency

 

Did you know that Butternut pumpkin (squash) contains both beta & alpha-carotene which convert into vitamin A in the body and as you know, vitamin A is crucial for a healthy immune system.


Pepitas (pumpkin seeds) are a great source of iron and zinc for immune function. The Perfect Plant protein also contains pumpkin seeds so by adding this as your booster, you are really boosting the immune system benefits!

 

My UnBeetable Borscht (beetroot soup)

Serves 4-6

Ingredients:

  • 6 large/10 small beetroots
  • 2 medium-large Desiree potatoes
  • 2 medium carrots diced
  • 2 sticks of celery diced
  • 1 red onion diced
  • 2 garlic cloves crushed
  • 1 litre of vegan chicken stock
  • 5-6 cups of filtered water
  • 1 tsp of sea salt
  • Basil, flat parsley & dill to serve
  • 1 avocado to serve
  • Sesame seeds
  • Coconut yoghurt
  • MCT, Coconut oil or Ghee 1 tbsp

 

Recommended gut-healing + immune-boosters:

 

Method:

  1. In a large pot on medium-high, add a little fat and sauté the onion, carrot, celery and garlic
  2. Peel and dice the beetroot and the potato too, set aside
  3. When softened, add the stock, water, salt, beetroot, potato and let this simmer on low-medium for about 40-50 minutes (as long as the beetroot has cooked completely). This could take a little longer?
  4. When done, take off the heat and using your hand blender, whizz until smooth and creamy. Gradually add any boosters and blend some more…
  5. Serve in bowls with a little of the herbs, sesame seeds, coconut yoghurt & avocado!
