The new Perfect Organic Plant Protein is here and we could not be more thrilled! I must admit after the previous formula I was a little nervous as I wasn't a big fan of the last one, it was quite chalky but this one is smooth and the taste is really nice - earthy, wholesome, nutty and delicious!
Made from organic pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds and sacha inchi seeds, it's free from nuts but has an almost peanut flavour.
In today's article, I want to show you that it's not just for adding to smoothies, there's a whole lot you can do with plant protein!
So here are 4 simple and super nourishing recipes using the Perfect Plant Protein...
Decadent Chocolate Plant Porridge
Serves 2
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of Gluten-free uncontaminated oats*
- 2 cups of filtered water
- 1 cup of chosen plant or other milk
- 4 tbsp raw cacao powder
- Dark chocolate for garnish
- 2 scoops of Perfect Organic Plant Protein
- A handful of raw or roasted peanuts (if tolerated, if not use sunflower seeds)
- A handful of blueberries
- 1 Red apple sliced thinly
- 1 tbsp Perfect Organic MCT oil (optional)
- 1/2 lemon (to keep the apple from going brown)
- 1-2 tbsp raw honey/maple or date syrup
*Try to use organic ingredients where possible.
Method:
- In a large pot on high heat, add the water and when it gets to simmer add in the oats and stir well for about 5-10 minutes
- If the porridge dries out, simply add in some more water and then add in the cacao powder and stir again
- When your oats seem cooked and you're happy with the consistency (creamy is ideal), add in some of your chosen milk as well as the plant protein and 1 tbsp of chosen sweetener then stir and take off heat
- Seve in bowls with the grated chocolate, apple slices, peanuts, chia seeds and a little more sweetener if you desire.
A decadent treat breakfast or brunch for sure! 🥰
Peanut Butter & Blueberry Bowls
Serves 2
Ingredients:
- 4 frozen bananas
- 2 tbsp of Raw cacao
- 4tbsp crunchy peanut butter
- 1 cup chosen milk (raw cows milk*oat/rice/coconut/almond etc.)
- 2 scoops Perfect Plant Protein Powder
- 1 t-2 tbsp raw honey/maple or date syrup
- 1/2 ripe banana sliced
- 2 tbsp of chocolate granola
- Chia seeds
*Try to use organic ingredients where possible. Raw cows milk is not sold for human consumption even though it is incredibly nutritious and infection from raw milk is incredibly rare. I suggest you do your own research and follow the Wise traditions and Weston A Price philosophy.
Method:
- In a high-powered blender add the frozen banana, peanut butter, cacao, milk, plant protein and sweetener
- Blend until smooth and creamy
- Serve in your favourite bowl and arrange sliced banana and chocolate granola over the smoothie mixture
- Drizzle peanut butter over the banana (if the peanut butter isn't runny, simply pop it into a saucepan of hot water for awhile and story occasionally).
- Eat with your favourite spoon and in the sunshine if you're lucky enough to find a patch ☀️
