Asta what?
Pronounced "Asta" "Zan" "Thin" (astaxanthin) is not only a powerful carotenoid (antioxidant), but it's nature's MOST powerful antioxidant!
Once while listening to a health podcast, I learned about this wonderful antioxidant and I just had to get my hands on it!
After all, if it's "nature's most powerful antioxidant" with incredible benefits, I just had to have it.
Not just that though, I had to make it available to our customers.
Today's blog is all about astaxanthin, what it is and what it can do so buckle up your seatbelt because you're in for one heck of a ride!
Now being an avid health enthusiast, you're probably well-aware of the importance of antioxidants for good health.
We know that antioxidants come from fruit (especially berries, cherries and purple grapes) but also veggies, nuts, cacao, green tea, and microalgaes.
Microalgae such as spirulina, chlorella and haematococcus pluvialis.
It is haematococcus pluvialis that you find astaxanthin, as well as salmon, lobster and prawns. In fact, it is the red pigment (part of the carotenoid family) that give the uniquer colour to the above foods.
