I'm sure that we don't need to tell you how important magnesium is in ones diet and how crucial it is to a person's health but we will today discuss the 2 different ways (3 actually if you include diet), that we can obtain this vital electrolyte mineral!

When we get low in magnesium, or even worse - deficient, our health, happiness and energy can really suffer. 🙁

Whilst we get magnesium from many foods and we always advocate folks to eat a whole food, nutrient-dense natural diet with a wide variety of nutrients, we also believe supplementation is wise on top of that!

magnesium supplement

Why Supplement?

Even if you do eat a great diet, there is a chance you still may be low and that is for a few reasons:

  1. The food may not be grown in nourished soil (if it's conventional produce), it may also be sprayed with harmful chemicals that affect the nutrition of the produce/plants/crops grown
  2. Even if you eat organic you still may not be reaching your nutritional goals if you have stress and who doesn't have stress in this crazy world right?

So there are 2 ways to supplement (2 delivery methods into the body) and they are:

  • Orally: through ingesting a magnesium powder or capsules
  • Topically: applied to the skin and absorbed into the bloodstream where they reach the cells also (trans-dermal)

However, like many things in this world, magnesium products aren't all the same (created equally) nor do they have the same benefits for you!

Many of them are synthetic and manmade in a lab and quite frankly... a waste of your hard-earned $$$!!

Synthetic nutrition is not that bioavailable so your body really does not recognise it as anything good or useful so it is always a better idea to go for a magnesium supplement that is 100% natural, non-GMO and bioavailable for proper absorption.

Synthetic Nutrition

Perfect Magnesium Citrate is all of these things and many of our customers are having incredible success with this product for a whole bunch of reasons, such as:

  • Better sleep
  • Improvement in muscle cramps
  • Improvement in restless legs
  • Less aches, less stiffness
  • More calm and less anxious feelings
  • Soothes muscles
  • Managing stress better
  • Better bowel movements
  • Improved skin

You can see for yourself the many wonderful testimonials for this product over here.

Please note: since we migrated our reviews from our last website, they have funny titles (some of them) and we have our review platform company investigating this currently, The review content is all there but some of the titles got corrupted with the migration. We are not sure how this happened and hope it gets fixed soon....

Taking Magnesium in Topically

Another way to increase magnesium levels but also get in more sulphur (which our body also needs) is to spray a high-quality magnesium oil with MSM onto your skin liberally before you go to bed at night. 🌙

The process of absorbing things through the skin is called 'trans-dermal' and it is also a very effective way to get magnesium in (that is why epsom salt baths are also very popular as well).

We believe it's good to do both or at least use a magnesium oil spray daily!

There are many good magnesium oil products available on the market but not many contain the added benefits of MSM, most magnesium oil sprays are just water and magnesium chloride but Ancient Minerals Magnesium Ultra Oil Spray with OptiMSM has got your needs covered!

Magnesium Oil Spray

What on God's Green Earth is MSM?

I am so glad you asked and let us explain...

It is not mainstream media LOL! But rather an organic compound known as 'methylsulfonylmethane' (try saying that 3 times fast! 😄) and this organic compound is known to be very beneficial to ones health, I'll tell you why...

You see, sulphur is very important to help our body to detoxify as it is involved in glutathione (one of the most powerful antioxidants in the body - second to melatonin of course)!

MSM is not sulphur itself but it contains sulphur.

Glutathione is a mixture of a sulphur molecule and the Amino Acid Methionine, so if we don't get enough sulphur into our body, we may not effectively detox all those harmful and disease-causing toxins out of our body.

When toxins don't get released they can recirculate in the body and settle into the tissue of various organs and areas, potentially causing us great harm.

So to help you avoid this, it is best to eat more sulphur-rich foods such as:

  • Organ meats (or take an organ supplement)
  • Ham, beef, chicken, duck, turkey
  • Shrimp, scallops, muscles and prawns
  • Eggs and dairy
  • Onions, garlic, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, leeks, asparagus

You can also, like we mentioned, use a magnesium oil spray that contains sulphur in a highly deliverable method such as this one.

Perfect Supplements is proud to now supply this incredible, life-changing product (you will see if you haven't tried it yet) how amazing you can feel and I don't use the word 'amazing' lightly.

I personally incorporate this product into my nightly routine and when I do, I sleep like a bear 🐻 (because babies don't always sleep that well).

This product is something that I stack actually... I also take the Perfect Magnesium Citrate and use Epsom salts in my bath regularly (plus our diet is pretty good so we have magnesium down pat in this household).
